Linda Lewis

Lewis' Born to Read, program was designed to promote literacy in students and to provide them with literature in their homes. Everyday during the morning announcements, the principal would read the names of the children with birthdays that day, and they would be invited to come to the office and pick out a book which they could take home with them.
