Voya invests in communities
Because we are committed to our societal investment as part of our corporate responsibility work, Voya offers the following benefits to support employees in their engagement in the community.
Volunteer Time Away – Provides paid time away to volunteer for eligible nonprofit organizations during work hours (40 hours for full-time, 20 hours for part-time).
Volunteer Matching Gifts – Provides one $500 grant, through Voya Foundation, to an eligible nonprofit organization for which an employee volunteers 50 hours during personal time.
Employee Matching Gifts – Matches employee donations through Voya Foundation, one-to-one, to eligible nonprofit organizations up to $5,000 per employee annually.
Nonprofit Board Placement Program – Provides senior leaders with the opportunity to serve on the boards of nonprofit partners.
National Days of Service, held each spring, where employees fan out across the U.S. to participate in a focused day of volunteering that generates thousands of volunteer service hours at nonprofits in the local community.
Our Employee Giving Campaign takes place each fall and employees plan fundraising events and initiatives that raise millions of dollars for the eligible nonprofit organizations that matter to them.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Voya Financial is committed to fostering a work environment where the differences that we are born with — and those we acquire throughout our lives — are understood, valued and intentionally pursued. Bringing our differences together to positively influence our culture, service our clients and enrich our communities is a reflection of how we live our purpose and aspire to our vision — to clear your path to financial confidence and a more fulfilling life.
We are stronger because of our differences: race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, creed, citizenship status, as well as perspective of thoughts, beliefs, education, background and experiences.
We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce where all of these differences are purposefully brought together. This governs all decisions related to employment, including selection, development and compensation. We believe that all employees must be treated fairly, with respect, and in a manner free from discrimination and harassment. This also includes an employee’s request for reasonable accommodation.
Voya has 11 Employee-Led Councils, formerly Employee Resource Groups (ERG), that are open to all employees. These Councils play an important role in engaging and educating our workforce — and are a vital resource to help advance our business goals. These Councils help Voya foster a more inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued and celebrated.
