Rodriguez’s innovative teaching idea, “CodeCraft Explorers,” is designed to revolutionize computer education for students in Pre-K to eighth grade by introducing a hands-on, physical computing curriculum. This innovative approach integrates physical computing devices with traditional computer science concepts, making learning interactive and engaging for students of all ages. Through this curriculum and the help of the Voya Unsung Heroes grant, students will develop foundational coding skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities from an early age. By fostering early exposure to computer science in a tangible and accessible way, the project aims to bridge the digital divide and prepare students for a technology-driven future.
