Stevenson Middle School

Morgan’s and Graham’s innovative teaching idea, “Shaping the Future,” focuses on creating an Assistive Technology program for students with disabilities. The Computer Science and STEM students will learn how to program cost-efficient wearable gadgets and design tools to help them navigate daily tasks more efficiently. Stevenson Middle School students will collaborate with high school students from Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind to create wearable smart devices and accomplish breakthroughs to create richer life experiences for the disabled students. By working together with the high school students, they will be able to collaboratively prototype and perfect a product that can be mass produced to help others. Through this project, Morgan and Graham hope students will reduce barriers for people with disabilities in their community.
