Tosca Carranza

Carranza’s innovative teaching idea, “Making Ceramic Vessels,” allows students to experience working with clay to create their own unique ceramic vessels. They will design, mold, form, build and glaze the artwork they create from raw materials. Open to all grades at South Putnam Middle/High School, the students’ creations, when completed, will be displayed and reviewed by other students during an open discussion. Carranza hopes the feedback shared will help each individual better understand how their artwork is perceived by an audience and how important art is for their school and society.
