Toni Gross

Gross' "Presenting… Cinnamon Toast!" project helps K-5 students improve their oral communication skills. Based on Toastmasters, the project requires students to develop and present speeches on educationally relevant topics. The speeches are enhanced through technology and visual learning techniques (SMART Boards, PowerPoint). The project focuses on students who have had difficulty in public speaking situations, helping them become more comfortable, effective communicators. In addition, students develop writing and technical skills by creating and presenting the speeches.
