Timothy Fissori

Fissori's "S.A.T.I.N. - Students Assisting Those In Need" is a student-driven program that provides services to the elderly, low-income, and others in need. Students learn basic carpentry, residential electrical, and plumbing skills and apply them with a focus on community service. Students keep a detailed job journal for each project and are evaluated by customer satisfaction surveys, teacher evaluations, and group critique sessions. Students develop team building and group cooperation and can become leaders and mentors for students new to the program. Also, a feeling of family and trust is formed among students.
