Theresa Currie

Currie's "Family Math Night" brought students, teachers, and parents together to provide a positive math experience. Not only did the project boost students' confidence, it also helped eliminate what Currie called "math-phobia" in adults. Based on literature and themes such as the Olympics, students and parents developed problem-solving skills and associated math with everyday, practical experiences.
