Eubanks' "Hands-on Science Center" opens kindergartners' eyes to the world of science. A classroom is equipped with a permanent science station, which students can visit daily. The center includes telescopes, magnet sets, plant exhibits, an ant farm, a butterfly colony, puzzles, a water and sand table, and other features that allow students to absorb science information through concrete experiences. Activities are combined with theme-based units, such as plants, animals, ocean life, and outer space. The project expands higher-order thinking skills and serves as a basis for growth in many different areas.
