Tamara DeLand

DeLand's project involved publishing a student newsletter by and for at-risk youth and distributing it throughout Minnesota and eventually the United States. A communication network provided at-risk students the opportunity to generate and share their ideas and projects with other alternative youth throughout the country, while establishing a foundation for authentic writing and publishing skills.
