Susan Shepard

Shepard's "DNA" project was created from her student's interest in why DNA is so important. The students learn about genetics and how hair and eye color is based on parents' genes. Students also use DNA evidence to solve a simulated crime. The final section allows students to look at the human genome project and discuss the ethical issues surrounding genetic engineering.
