Stacy Nichols and Megan McKenna

Nichols’ and McKenna’s innovative teaching idea, “Forensic Science and Anatomy Collaboration,” focuses on using an innovative, collaborative approach to foster knowledge sharing and enthusiasm for science among students from two science classes focused on forensics, anatomy and physiology. By uniting students on four separate occasions to share their showcase, knowledge and expertise related to topics including fingerprints and fingerprinting; hair and hair analysis; autopsies, bruising and time of death; and blood typing and blood spatter; anatomy and forensics students, will lead presentations and simulate crime scenes as well as engaging in competitions to enhance their listening and communication skills.
