Shirley Hayes

Hayes' Continent Bookbags project gave children and parents the opportunity to explore different continents of the world at home, increasing both the child's knowledge of other countries and cultures and also giving parents a quality activity with which to increase their own interaction with their child. In addition to increasing the students' general knowledge of different countries, the program also helped them develop better reading, cooperative learning and communication skills.
