The team’s innovative teaching idea, “Oodles of Doodles,” focuses on engaging 5^th grade students to learn about various health, math, geography, engineering and technology topics by using 3Doodler Create+ pens, purchased with the Voya Unsung Heroes grant, to create 3D models. Students will use the 3D pens to design and build models of organs, create microbe monsters, bring ideas like perimeter and area to life, and engineer mechanisms to better understand how things work. The Oodles of Doodles project supports teachers in creating unique lesson plans that bring STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) into various curricular areas.
