“Math Movie Network” is Avery’s innovative program designed to let students share their math success with other students around the world and let them learn from it. Students are front and center in the video segments, allowing them to share directly with others who are watching simple or complex math concepts and how they achieved mathematical success. They will not only be able to share their knowledge and have their knowledge assessed, but they also will have the opportunity to make global connections, learn about video editing, get introduced to HTML and CSS coding for websites, and understand the power of collaboration. Avery, who lives in Plympton, wants to make the “Math Movie Network” website a global resource for student-sourced math concept explanations.
