Robert Hanson

Hanson teamed with fellow educator Tim Brennan on the "Horizons Project," which brings together a team of elementary school children and high school astronomy students to work on various projects ranging from regular solar observations to scavenger hunts for constellations and deep sky objects, to a monthly student night-sky article in local newspapers. The program also strives to address a variety of academic standards including viewing science as a process, not just a collection of facts, and the integration of mathematics, science and technology with the performing arts, writing and visual arts. The Horizons Project promises a unique and substantive educational opportunity for both students and the community.
