Willis' "Navigating the Seven Cs" is a math project that incorporates seven Cs - classrooms, curriculum standards, connections, communities, corporations, computers/technology, and communications - to help students connect classroom instruction with real-world experiences. Students gather and analyze data from business sites, schoolyard gardening projects, and guest speakers' lectures to compile career information, project notes, and sample work into a portfolio. Then, they use measuring tools, graphing software, graphing calculators, and other technology to generate graphic representations of their data.
