Rebecca Lewis and Nancy Lambert

Lewis and Lambert’s innovative teaching idea, “Education Stations,” is focused on providing hands-on lessons, or stations, that tie into the themes of Lewis and Lambert’s AP English classes. The teachers and students have found this method to be very effective, so much so that other teachers would like to implement stations into their own lessons. One of these stations is titled “Stellar Stories”, where the students must draw a story starter that deals with one of the topics they discussed over the course of the unit, and then must write a story that contains at least ten ACT/SAT vocabulary words. These education stations help to prepare students for their AP exam, enabling them to retain enormous amounts of material in a short period of time.
