Peggy Montgomery

Montgomery's "Integrating Language Arts and Technology" project lets students use computer technology to create electronic "portfolios" consisting of artwork and creative writing pieces. Students learn to use digital cameras, scanners, video cameras, and special software to capture work they do in class or download existing art and images. Some of the students also gain experience supervising and teaching as peer assistants. Throughout the year-long project, students use their portfolios as learning tools and a way to reflect on their own creative development.
