Paul Hardt

Hardt's "KRTV Time Traveler" project is a video show produced by fifth graders. Each show is based on a figure from American history, who, along with other people from the period, is interviewed about his or her life and accomplishments. The interviewees are portrayed by students. In addition, students research, write, and produce the programs, with attention to finding appropriate roles for students with special needs. The project is an exciting, motivating way to engage students in the study of history while developing research, writing, technical, and social skills.
