Falcone's "Arts to Go" project is a mentoring program that explores various African cultures. High school students research storytelling and song traditions, art and design, and the function of music and dance in the daily lives of African people. The students then develop 90-minute performance-oriented workshops which they present to first through third graders at local elementary schools. They also maintain journals about their research and involvement in the workshops. The interdisciplinary project increases teamwork and organizational skills and promotes understanding among age groups.
