Pamela Lusher

Lusher's "Family History Book" project has students creating a book of their family history that includes photos and background information of their family, friends, pets, and homes. The aim of the project is to give students experience with computer technology, interviewing techniques, editing practices, and page design. From inception to completion, students have editorial control over their project and learn to use word processing programs, scanners, and digital cameras in its creation. Through the project, students benefit by becoming "computer savvy," improving their writing skills, and gaining a greater understanding of their family history.
