Pamela Baker

Baker's project, Partners in Reading, promotes literacy by modeling good oral reading and a love of literature. Community volunteers come into the classroom to eat lunch and read to a student. Students learn new listening, speaking, reading, and writing vocabulary, along with establishing a mentor type relationship with the community volunteer.
