Nicole Domagala and Michele Conlan

Domagala’s and Conlan’s innovative teaching idea, “Give Back Money to Literacy,” focuses on providing students with real life financial application skills by having them run a school store. The Voya grant will be used to purchase iPads to be used between two classrooms and hands-on materials, including math games and fake money, to reinforce the concepts of coin identification, money value, adding money and making change. Domagala and Conlan hope to show third graders that they can make a difference and give back towards others in a positive way.
