The team’s innovative teaching idea, “Diversifying Curriculum,” focuses on how the curriculum in the Mukilteo School District for K-5 can be expanded to include social studies/history and a much-needed Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum in addition to reading, writing, and math. The team will provide students with an authentic, diverse and meaningful program that incorporates a deeper understanding of social studies, historical facts, SEL and the current reading curriculum for K-5 grades.
