Ancharski's "Pathways to Information Literacy: Leading Young Students to Learning in the Library" helps K-5 students perform library searches by producing laminated packets of illustrated search terms and maps and pathways to library bookshelves. Kits containing manipulative materials, illustrations, questions, and graphic organizers supplement the packets to encourage exploration and research. The materials are organized to be readily available for library lessons or small group work. The project helps students acquire and practice skills that are usually not introduced until the intermediate grades and helps them use the library effectively and independently.
