Eureka Springs High School

"Reaching Out, Serving All" is the winning program designed by Floro. It was created to expand academic horizons, save lives and improve economic growth. Eureka Springs High School's Environmental and Spatial Technology (EAST) Program is a unique class where students use advanced technologies to design and implement service-based community projects. The class has created the Carroll County Technology Center that offers free computer classes to all county residents. Floro now wants to begin offering video production classes to students in grades fourth through 12th. They will learn how to write scripts, film, edit and create public service announcements for healthy living. The topics they are considering are childhood obesity, bullying, and the importance of reading. The public service announcements the students create will be shown in all of the local schools to raise awareness of the stated issues. Floro, who is the EAST program facilitator and yearbook advisor, resides in Holiday Island.
