Spaulding High School
Gibson's use of the "MANIKENS" reusable clay modeling system will allow students in both Biology and Human Anatomy/Physiology courses to learn about the human body by building it. with this system, up to 90 students will construct a full anatomy and learn about human composition and how people function. Through analysis of the models they build, students will learn how injuries, surgeries and daily activities affect function. The process of aging will also be evident in the constructed model through changes in its clay composition. Participants will also conduct labs to see relationships and interactions of all 12 systems of the body and how they work. The overall goal is to get Spaulding High School students to discover who they are by studying their human makeup. Gibson is a resident of Milton.
