Michael McCarthy

McCarthy's Empty Bowls project allowed students and the community to come together to raise money for the county food shelf. Elementary students, with the guidance of high school art students, made bowls which were auctioned off to guests at Empty Bowls Dinner. Through this program students learned a greater appreciation for communication through art, the importance of community, and the importance of family and student involvement in schools.
