Melissa Gaver

Gaver's project, B.I.A.S. (Behaviors Integrating American Societies), integrates the many differences of her students into an accepting community and helps the students see the wealth and beauty of diversity. Students study the history of prejudice -- drawing upon the Holocaust, racial prejudice, bias against Native Americans, sexual bias and other discriminatory practices.
