Matthew Kreitzer

Kreitzer's American Indian Garden Project was an innovative effort to augment the learning of his American Indian Studies course with practical experiences. Students cultivated a traditional garden like those utilized by agrarian Indian groups of the American Southwest. They learned about agricultural techniques as well as a working knowledge of gardening. Students also learned about hard work, both physically and academically, as well as team work.
