Mary Woods

Woods' "Virtual Dream Vacation" project develops the technical skills of students with mild to moderate disabilities and physical handicaps. Students create computer slide shows depicting "dream vacation" sites and use various software programs to design postcards to send to family members. The finale is a slide-show presentation for administrators and invited guests. The project's collaborative aspects promote repetition and consistency, which are important in the learning process of many Special Education students.
