Hartly Elementary School
Faust's winning program, "WHART: The Station With Heart," is a new and unique way to unite the Hartly Elementary School community like never before. Weekly broadcasts will air throughout the school to demonstrate model behaviors and highlight the weather, school happenings and other important news. Meetings will be held after school to create skits from predetermined behavioral objectives. Students will also moderate and record each other during a WHART news broadcast to learn the basics of iMovie and how to assemble the weekly broadcast from clips. "Senator Bucks" will be issued to students for positive behavior, which can be used to enter into a school-wide drawing. Faust, who lives in Camden, hopes that demonstrating expected behavior will cause students to engage differently with each other as well as with their teachers, parents and community.
