Mary Anne Ragland

Ragland's "Factor 'E' Mathematics Literacy Center" project is a classroom set up solely for mathematics. The "E" represents the excitement, experimentation and enjoyment of education that takes place in this mathematically rich environment. With "Factor E," every corner of the classroom is equipped with materials centered on specific themes or concepts. Materials are readily available and designed to motivate students' interest in mathematics. "Factor E" accommodates entire classrooms in addition to individual students who are experiencing difficulty with math skills. Parent volunteers are available to tutor students or assist them with math practice and drills.
