Teaming up with fellow educator Kathy Kreifels, Goodrich-Keep's "Welcome to Our World (WOW)" Multidisciplinary Biome Project helps students understand how humans can both help and harm an ecosystem. With WOW, students research several different habitats. They transform their classrooms into three-dimensional replicas of those biomes in order to show the "before" and "after" effects of human intervention. This project also brings together family, faculty and the community on "WOW night," as students share "their world" through multimedia presentations and offer suggestions for protecting the environment.
