Teaming up with teacher Stephanie Walton, Drawl's "Do You See What I Hear?" project combines the sixth grade Electronic Experiences and beginning art classes to create a wind chime tree based on the C Pentatonic scale. Using pipe cutters, students cut metal pipes to the correct length and mix concrete as a base for their tree. Students hang the pipes in order according to pitch and learn to play pentatonic songs they discovered during Internet research. The students document their work in a bound booklet and create a computer slide show demonstrating their project. After the wind chime trees are completed, they are put on display in the school courtyard.
