Martin Lindsey

Lindsey's innovative teaching idea, “BrainSTEM University,” expands the number of subjects related to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) available to students at Nativity Academy’s Extended Enrichment Program (EEP). The afterschool program, designed by Lindsey, enables students to spend time doing homework, tutoring, and taking elective classes in a variety of subjects, including STEAM, languages and leadership. The program expands the accessibility of STEAM-related subjects during EEP by introducing BrainSTEM courses that expose students to coding, animation, and engineering principles. BrainSTEM works with nonprofits and schools across Louisville, helping youth in underserved areas access a quality STEAM education.
