Lynne Pickens

Pickens' "Not For Your Eyes Only" is a project-based learning plan that involves elementary students acting as detectives, or "007 secret agents," who use investigative techniques during classroom "missions." These missions, facilitated by Pickens, vary in length, scope and depth, and involve various numbers of students. The missions require students to use problem-solving skills to enhance traditional subject matter and improve technology skills. In addition, students present their missions for review by their parents, which helps keep parents involved in their child's education. This project-based learning style improves children's retention of knowledge and creates excitement about learning.
