Lisa Mikesell

Mikesell's "Language Arts and Technology" project gives students the opportunity to use a variety of computer programs to create a presentation about their families. Written profiles of family members and photos of their home lives are combined into a presentation to be shared with the class, family, and friends. Students also compile a scrapbook and a family tree, and learn skills such as creating and linking screens, layout design, importing graphics, scanning photos, and using digital images. Through the project, students also develop writing and communication skills.
