Lindsay Baranovic

Baranovic’s innovative teaching idea, “At-Home Literacy Kits,” explores the connection between school and home to support a family’s role as a partner in a student’s literacy learning. The goal is to create take-home literacy kits that support family involvement, extend student engagement, and increase adult confidence with at-home literacy practice. The Voya grant will be used to create the kits that will include all necessary resources and directions for families to engage in playful literacy exercises at home together. The kits are based on literacy review and action research.
