Lillian Kovach

Kovach's "Project Adventure" offers counseling for at-risk students by promoting team-building, communication, self-esteem, and leadership qualities. Through the project and in conjunction with the Junior ROTC program, students participate in "adventure activities" or strategic games that include hiking, rappelling down walls, and participating in obstacle courses. During the course of the program, students develop a new sense of worth and find that what they previously thought was impossible is indeed possible. The results are found in the more positive way the participants interact with friends, teachers, and parents.
