Little’s innovative teaching idea, “Classroom on the Cloud,” is designed to build a Cloud-based classroom and utilize free online programs to encourage and enhance classroom collaboration and build online student portfolios. By incorporating a set of tablets that will essentially function "in the Cloud" and promote the highest level of student learning, the goal of the collaboration will begin to be achieved. Cloud-based learning puts the Internet and all of its resources at the fingertips of students, and enables the teacher to guide students in the process of learning and not simply learning facts. Student projects will be worked on in class and continued at home, using the same programs provided by major online search engines and saved in the Cloud, without cumbersome storage devices or expensive program licenses. Students will benefit not only from efficiency, but with Cloud-based programs that have become useful and universal across many fields of learning and in business.
