Remmetter's Parents as Partners program was designed to increase young student's enjoyment of reading by encouraging parents to read to their children. Every day, children would take a book home with them and read it with their parents. At school, teachers made sure that the books the children took home covered a wide variety of fictional and non-fictional subjects.
