Fisher's "Monday Morning News" project involves sixth-grade students in the production of a monthly newsletter that includes news and features, artwork, and information about school activities for students and parents. Students also produce a closed-circuit TV broadcast that includes highlights of the newsletter, sporting events, weather, and other school-related stories. The project introduces students to a variety of technologies and develops language, research, and social skills. Students with special needs are also involved as they help print and distribute the newsletters and assist in the morning broadcasts.
