Judi McLoughlin

McLoughlin's "The Great Thinking Machine Show" is an interdisciplinary project designed to develop literacy, with attention to critical thinking, listening, and public speaking skills. Addressing the language deficit faced by many students, the project uses key vocabulary words that are studied throughout the week. At the end of each week, students participate in a "game show" where they cooperatively respond to clues with the correct key words. Shows are also videotaped. The project successfully builds vocabularies and enhances comprehension and communication skills.
