Jill Tamski

Tamski's "Dressing Up History" project gives students the opportunity to explore colonial, revolutionary, and pioneer time periods through clothing and props. The props are used as visual aids as the students study a particular era, bringing history alive and allowing students to compare and contrast period trends. As a finale to the project, students write and perform skits for the classroom using the props and wearing the costumes of the day. The project gives students a greater understanding of our nation's history in a fun, interactive environment and leads to a better appreciation of what our forefathers experienced.
