Jennifer Flannagan

Flannagan's "Student Power" program is an interdisciplinary service learning program created to engage students in an effort to save a local river and help change a community. Together students and parents create a network of river watchers that monitor the Elizabeth River on a regular basis. Students learn leadership skills, problem solving techniques and experience real life applications of math and science concepts taught in the classroom.
