Jennifer Ceven

Ceven's project, "Bringing a Mobile Pond Ecosystem to a School Ecosystem," utilizes mobile aquariums to allow students to study the variety of life that exists in a pond environment. Students in the program collect data about pond ecosystems over time and study changes taking place among the living organisms. Along with learning about how the organisms interact in their environment, students improve their observation and data collection skills, and learn to use a microscope. Participants in the project also create oral presentations to teach younger students about respecting nature and preserving our natural environment, building positive relationships between students of different ages.
