The team’s innovative teaching idea, “Microcinema Collective,” focuses on film production in a post-COVID-19 environment by addressing a variety of topics, including collaboration and planning. This project, which will be offered in the fall semester, is innovative in its delivery of instruction (hybrid, online and offline), the inclusion of local actors and production crew volunteers, and the collaboration of teachers with students in the production of short films.To bring his program to fruition, Powell will work with the Chesapeake Bay Alliance, Kiwanis Club, Virginia Department of the Forestry, Science Museum of Virginia, Maymont Gardens, State University School of Agriculture and the 4H Club.
