Jarah Franzese

Franzese innovative teaching idea, “Real Life Fair,” focuses on preparing students for the real life expenses by creating a fair similar to a job fair with a verity of booths allocated toward adult-like expenses. Students will be given an annual salary and they will have to choose a place to live and pay for everyday things without running out of money. Franzese will have volunteers from the community to represent each area of expenses, including a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to calculate, a Realtor to either sell them a home or rent an apartment, a banker where they will deposit their paycheck and transfer money into savings, an insurance agent with health and car insurance options, communications with cell phones and cable, and so on. Franzese hopes to prepare students for the financial challenges they my face in the future.
